Chip stocks tumble on fears of tighter China curbs

Shares of chipmakers fell after a report that Washington is mulling tighter curbs on semiconductor exports. Republican nominee Donald Trump’s lukewarm remarks about defending Taiwan also deepened selling in chip stocks.
